Delete Your Account

1. Summary

Account owners can delete their Poultrist account themselves, from the mobile app or from the web app. Deletion covers the whole business: your account, your farms and every record kept under them.

Deletion is scheduled 30 days ahead rather than done on the spot. Your business is suspended immediately and everyone is signed out, but nothing is destroyed until the 30 days are up. Signing in again before then cancels the deletion and puts everything back.

2. Before you start

Subscriptions are sold and billed by the app store you bought from, not by us, so we cannot cancel one on your behalf. Cancel it yourself using the steps below for the store that took your payment. If you are not sure which one that is, the app tells you when you start the deletion.

Cancelling stops the renewal. You keep your paid access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further charge is taken.

2.1 Cancel a Google Play subscription

On an Android device:

1. Open the Google Play app.
2. Tap your profile icon in the top right.
3. Tap Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
4. Select Poultrist.
5. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

In a browser, go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions , select Poultrist, choose Manage, then Cancel subscription.

2.2 Cancel an App Store subscription

On an iPhone or iPad:

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name at the top of the screen.
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Tap Poultrist.
5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm. If there is no cancel button, the subscription is already cancelled and will not renew.

On a Mac:

1. Open the App Store.
2. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Account Settings.
3. Scroll to Subscriptions and click Manage.
4. Click Edit beside Poultrist, then Cancel Subscription.

In a browser, go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions and cancel it from there.

2.3 What the apps do about this for you

Both the mobile app and the web app check this before you confirm. If a subscription is still running they show you which store is billing it, when it renews, and a Manage subscription button that opens the right page in that store. You are not forced to cancel first. If you choose to carry on, you have to tick a box confirming you understand the billing continues, so that nobody deletes an account and finds a charge on their next statement.

2.4 Export your records, if you want to keep them

Deletion is permanent once the 30 days pass, and the purge removes your export archives along with everything else. If you want a copy of your farm records, use Data Export in My Account and download the archive before you start.

3. Deleting from the mobile app

1. Open Poultrist and sign in as the account owner.
2. Go to My Account.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Read what deletion does. If a store subscription is still running you will see it here, along with a Manage subscription button.
5. Confirm it is you. If you registered with an email address, enter your password. If you signed up with Google, type DELETE in the confirmation field instead.
6. If a subscription is active, tick the box confirming you understand that deleting the account does not cancel it.
7. Tap Delete my account.
8. You will see the date your data is permanently removed, and you will be signed out on every device.

4. Deleting from the web app

1. Go to app.poultrist.com and sign in as the account owner.
2. Open My Account.
3. Find the Delete account card and choose Delete account.
4. Read what deletion does. Any active store subscription is shown here, with a link to manage it.
5. Confirm it is you. Enter your password, or type DELETE if you signed up with Google.
6. If a subscription is active, tick the box confirming you understand that deleting the account does not cancel it.
7. Confirm. You will see the date your data is permanently removed, and you will be signed out on every device.

5. If you are a staff member

Staff accounts are created and controlled by the account owner, so a staff member cannot delete their own account. Ask your account owner to remove you under User Accounts in Settings, which deletes your staff account and your sign-in.

If your account owner is unreachable, write to [email protected] from the address on your account and we will handle it. We reply within 48 hours.

6. What happens, and when

An account that was registered but never finished business setup is removed automatically after 7 days without any request from you.

7. What is kept afterwards, and for how long

Nothing in this table is used to rebuild your account or to contact you about the product. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

8. Deleting some data without deleting your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove a record. Flocks, production entries, feed records, treatments, weights, sales, expenses, customers, suppliers and staff accounts can each be deleted individually in the app or the web app, and that deletion is immediate.

If one of your customers, suppliers or staff asks you to remove their personal details, you can do that yourself the same way. Those records are yours and we hold them on your instructions, which our Data Processing Agreement sets out.

9. Need help

If you cannot sign in, cannot complete the steps above, or want us to delete the account for you, write to [email protected] from the email address on the account. We may ask you to confirm a few details before we act, so that nobody else can close your account.
